Modular Headend Passive Systems

Our Modular Headend Passive System, MCP-111 and MCP-211, provide an RF signal management solution for your modern cable headend or hub. Modules include products for:  return path (5-70MHz), forward path (54-870MHz), broadband (5-1000MHz) and L-band (950-2150MHz) applications. Universal bi-directional splitters/combiners and specialized unidirectional combiners or splitters featuring a –20dB test point and optimized for best performance in a chosen frequency range; “flat” with built in equalizer and “regular” with no equalizer for systems with external equalization.

ImageDatasheet

The MCP-111 frame accepts up to four modules in 1RU high and the MCP-211 accepts up to eight modules in 2RU high, both in horizontal configuration. To maximize utilization of the rack space, four-way units are packaged two in a module; two-way units are packaged three in a module and occupy a single slot in the frame.  Directional couplers are packaged two or three in a module. Internal walls prevent any cross talk. Test points are accessible from the front of the chassis.

This modular design is very easy to install, maintain and reconfigure as needed. All modules are thoroughly inspected and tuned in manufacturing, assuring repeatable and dependable electrical performance.
